5 Beauty Hacks You Need To Know

I have been super excited to write this post, because I love finding new ways I can improve my makeup, or save myself money, or make my beauty routine easier. So if you want to hear what 5 Beauty Hacks I actually use, and that you need to know, then keep reading...
But first remember to follow my blog, I have some fun posts coming up!!

1. Hairspray as Eyebrow Gel
I know this sounds kind of weird, but it works! I have crazy eyebrows, the hairs move and stick up in all sorts of weird places. So I love love love eyebrow gels to keep my eyebrows looking perfect all day. But I have tried a few eyebrow gels and found that none of the cheaper ones really work, and so you have too pay an arm and a leg for a decent eyebrow gel. BUT... If you get hairspray and spray it lightly into a spoolie, and comb it through your brows, its as good as an expensive brow gel!
So not only do you have perfectly set eyebrows, but you have saved yourself some money. The hairspray I use is $5 and the spooley I use is from ELF and I am pretty sure it only cost $1.

2. Liner brush for applying lower lash mascara

As I have said in a post before, I am super super bad at applying mascara to my lower lashes, and even when I do I find my eyelashes can clump together or I get mascara all over my lower lash line.
What you want to do is get a liner brush, you can get these from the drugstore for super cheap, and take the product from the mascara brush onto your liner brush and apply to your lower lashes.

3. Lipstick as a blush
I know, this sounds like it doesn't work but its tried and tested by yours truly. Have you ever had a lip stick and thought it was such a beautiful color you wanted to have a blush the same color? Well now you can without having to spend more money.
You want to simply use either your fingers, or a blush brush to get a light amount of lipstick and blend it in, and it acts just like a cream blush!

4. Applying water/setting spray to your eye shadows
This is probably my favorite hack, and I am sure you have heard it before. It is perfect for the palettes you never reach for because the eye shadows aren't pigmented enough.
But apply a little bit of water, or setting spray (which will last longer), to your brush and dip it into your eye shadow and apply like normal. This will help make your eye shadow more pigmented, even make it look like a cream eye shadow, or  give it a more metallic finish if it already is pigmented.

5. The 3 Rule
I have struggled so so so much doing a perfect contour or bronzer, and actually applying contour product to the correct place. This hack has saved me and it is super super easy.
Contouring can be so easy if you use the 3 rule, so apply your bronzer in a three motion, and a backwards 3 on the other side of your face (Look a the picture it will be easier to understand). By using this model, it applies bronzer to the perfect places, making it dummie proof!
Also if you want to grab a pencil (or anything similar, I use a make up brush) and you want to have it so it's going from the top of your ear, to the corner of your lip. You are not going to obviously blend to your lip, but it gives you the direction in which you should contour. I use a small brush usually to trace a little of the line then go in with a bigger brush to blend out.

Please remember to follow my blog, it is super easy and you can do it on your laptop, and on your phone if you click on desktop version and it would mean so much to me.
If you have gotten this far, YOU ROCK! Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my blog, I really really appreciate it. Because this is one of my first blog posts, please bear with the quality of things and hopefully with time I will improve and create better quality content.

Love,

Jessica Ann xx
